DMG Holland provides marine winch inspection, repair, maintenance, and technical support services, with workshops in IJmuiden/Amsterdam, Rotterdam, and Zeebrugge, serving offshore and vessel operators across the ARA ports and the Le Havre–Hamburg range, including UK ports.
DMG Holland B.V. is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy, within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR“) and the Dutch GDPR Implementation Act (Uitvoeringswet AVG).

2. What Personal Data We Collect
We collect personal data in the following ways:
- a) When you contact us Via the contact form on our Get In Touch page, or by phone/email directly, we collect the information you choose to give us — typically your name, email address, phone number, company name, and the content of your message.
- b) When you apply for a job If you submit a job application through our Careers pages, we collect the information included in your application (e.g. name, contact details, CV/resume content, and any cover letter).
- c) Automatically, through cookies and similar technologies See Section 5 (Cookies) below.
We do not knowingly collect financial, health, or other special-category data through this website.

4. Who We Share Your Data With
We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with:
- Service providers acting on our behalf (“processors”), such as our website hosting provider and our transactional email delivery service (currently WP Mail SMTP), strictly to the extent needed to run the Site and deliver emails.
- Analytics providers, only if you have consented via the cookie banner (see Section 5). We use Google Analytics, integrated through the Google Site Kit plugin, to understand how visitors use the Site (e.g. pages viewed, time on site, traffic sources). Google acts as a processor for this data; see Google’s Privacy Policy for how it handles data on our behalf.
- Professional advisors or authorities, where necessary to comply with a legal obligation, enforce our terms, or protect our rights.
We do not transfer personal data outside the European Economic Area (EEA) except where a service provider we use does so; in that case we rely on an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
5. Cookies
We use a cookie consent banner (via the WPConsent plugin) that lets you accept, reject, or customise cookies before any non-essential cookie is set. Cookies fall into three categories:
- Essential — always active; needed for the Site to function (e.g. remembering your cookie preference, session security). No consent is required for these.
- Statistics — help us understand how visitors use the Site, including Google Analytics (set up via the Google Site Kit plugin). Only set with your consent.
- Marketing — used to show relevant advertising and measure campaign performance. Only set with your consent.
You can change your preferences at any time using the cookie preferences control on the Site, or by clearing cookies in your browser.
Embedded third-party content (e.g. a YouTube video or LinkedIn post) may set its own cookies and collect data in the same way as if you visited that third party’s site directly; that use is governed by the third party’s own privacy policy.
6. How Long We Keep Your Data
- Enquiry/contact form submissions: kept for as long as reasonably needed to handle your enquiry and for a limited period afterwards for record-keeping, then deleted or anonymised.
- Job applications: kept for the duration of the recruitment process and for a limited period afterwards in case the role is reopened, then deleted, unless you ask us to keep your details on file for future opportunities.
- Cookie consent record: kept for as long as needed to demonstrate compliance with consent requirements, typically up to 12 months, after which consent is re-requested.
- Records we must keep by law (e.g. invoices, accounting records): kept for the statutory retention period under Dutch law (generally 7 years).
7. Your Rights Under the GDRP
As a data subject, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you;
- Rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data;
- Erasure (“right to be forgotten”) of your data, where applicable;
- Restriction of how we process your data, in certain circumstances;
- Data portability — receive your data in a structured, commonly used format, or have it transferred directly to another controller where technically feasible;
- Object to processing based on our legitimate interest, including direct marketing;
- Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent (e.g. statistics/marketing cookies), without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

8. Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse, including restricting server access (SSH access is limited to authorised administrators over a private network), keeping software and plugins up to date, and using HTTPS encryption across the Site.
9. Children
This Site is intended for business use and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
10. Changes To This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example to reflect new tools or legal requirements. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it was last revised. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
